Our instructors use a conversational approach based on listening and speaking. We emphasize practical vocabulary and grammar in the context of real-life situations, and we supplement study with relevant reading and writing exercises. Many people have already had some language instruction before their first experience with Berlitz. In order to know where to begin learning your new language, Berlitz has developed standardized proficiency levels for all the languages we teach. These levels are also used to chart your new progress.
